1. Col. William¹ Bowyer was born 1734. Col. died 1805 at 71 years of age.

He married Margaret Ann Lewis. Margaret was born July 5, 1751. Margaret was the daughter of Thomas Lewis and Jane Strother. Margaret died Janurary, 1834 at 82 years of age.

Col. William Bowyer and Margaret Ann Lewis had the following children:

2 i. William C.² Bowyer. He married Barwell.

3 ii. Strother Bowyer.

4 iii. Peter C. Bowyer.

5 iv. Melinda Bowyer.

6 v. Priscilla Bowyer. She married twice. She married Madison. She married Capt. John Miller. (See Capt. John Miller for the continuation of this line.)

7 vi. Mary Bowyer. She married Leonard Fleming.

+ 8 vii. Luke Henry Bowyer was born 1788.
