1. Col. Elihah¹ McClanahan was born 1770. Col. died 1857 at 87 years of age.

He married Agatha (Agnes) Strother Lewis September 1, 1795. Agatha was born 1779. Agatha was the daughter of Col. Andrew Lewis Jr.. Agatha died 1852 at 73 years of age.

Col. Elihah McClanahan and Agatha (Agnes) Strother Lewis had the following children:

2 i. Agnes² McClanahan. She married Dr. John Ingles.

3 ii. Mary McClanahan. She married Rice Daniel Montague.

4 iii. Elizabeth Madison McClanahan was born 1800. Elizabeth died 1891 at 91 years of age. She married twice. She married Dr. Gabriel Penn Nash. Dr. was born 1786. Dr. died 1859 at 73 years of age. She married Dr. Pleasant Meredith Cox 1828. Dr. was born 1809. Dr. died 1897 at 88 years of age.

5 iv. Lucy McClanahan was born 1811. Lucy died 1886 at 75 years of age. She married William Johnston 1828. William was born 1801. William died 1853 at 52 years of age.
