He married Hannah Madison 1812. Hannah was born 1787. Hannah was the daughter of Rowland T. Madison and Ann Lewis. Hannah died 1833 at 46 years of age.

John Crenshaw and Hannah Madison had the following child:

2 i. Robert Madison² Crenshaw was born 1813. Robert died 1875 at 62 years of age. He married Nancy Smith Major 1853. Nancy was born 1821. Nancy died 1874 at 53 years of age.
